Dear Parishioners and Friends in Christ,

We turn to you with a heartfelt appeal to support the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart (“Sercanki”), who have devoted their lives for many years to serving the poorest in Jamaica. The parish and mission, led by      Fr. Marek Bzinkowski, has recently suffered severe damage from a hurricane. Homes, the library, and the health center—where the Sisters serve the local community every day—have all been seriously affected. The Sisters and the people they care for are now facing great hardship and are in urgent need of assistance.

On Sunday, November 23, after the Polish Holy Mass, the “United in the Spirit” Community will host a sale of homemade cakes and delicious soups. All proceeds will go toward rebuilding the mission house and providing direct aid to those most in need.

In addition, a special collection will be held after every Mass until Christmas.

We warmly encourage everyone to open their hearts and show solidarity with the Sisters and the local community. Every contribution—no matter how small—means a great deal in this difficult time. Please also help spread the word so that this message may reach as many people as possible who are willing to help.
