Wigilia Zesłania Ducha Świętego June 4, 2022

Jezus powiedział do swoich uczniów: "Gdy Duch Święty zstąpi na was, otrzymacie Jego moc i będziecie moimi świadkami w Jerozolimie i w całej Judei, i w Samarii, i aż po krańce ziemi" (Dz 1, 8).

„Kiedy nadszedł wreszcie dzień Pięćdziesiątnicy, znajdowali się wszyscy razem na tym samym miejscu.” (Dz 2, 1). Kończąc okres paschalny wraz z całym Kościołem wołamy o Ducha Świętego. Każdy z nas Go potrzebuje, by właściwie realizować życiowe powołania i zadania. Zwykle momentem szczytowym wołania o Ducha Świętego w naszym kościele jest Wigilia, która zbiera w jednym miejscu wszystkie wspólnoty kościelne na modlitwie wołającej z gorącym pragnieniem jedności i otwartości na powiew Ducha.

Wigilia dzisiaj to nie dzień przed świętem, lecz noc, w której rozpoczyna się święto. Jest radosnym spotkaniem modlitewnym. Dla chrześcijan to bardzo ważne święto, uważa się że dzień Dnia Świętego, kiedy zesłano Ducha Świętego, stanowił początek katolickiego Kościoła

Jesus said to his disciples: "When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive his power and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1: 8).

"When the day of Pentecost finally came, they were all in the same place together." (Acts 2: 1). At the end of the Easter season, we, together with the whole Church, cry out for the Holy Spirit. Each of us needs him in order to carry out our life vocations and tasks properly. Usually, the climax of the call for the Holy Spirit in our church is Christmas Eve, which gathers in one place all church communities in prayer calling out with a fervent desire for unity and openness to the breath of the Spirit.

Today´s Christmas Eve is not the day before the holiday, but the night on which the holiday begins. It is a joyful prayer meeting. For Christians, this is a very important holiday, it is believed that the day of the Holy Day, when the Holy Spirit was sent, was the beginning of the Catholic Church
